Field Staff

Team Leaders – Each support centre is managed and supervised by a team leader. The team leader provides support to her/his team and feeds back to head office regularly. The team leaders meet weekly to share information, challenges and experiences and to receive additional input and support from head office.

Peer Educators (Male/Female) – Our peer educators provide essential and on going support to the Yabonga clients and remain agents of change within their communities. We continue to identify potential new educators within our client base and provide opportunities for them to develop into support personnel themselves.

Youth Counsellors – Our youth counsellors support and nurture our growing youth groups. They run specific interventions and groups for children of various ages and provide safe places and spaces for children to grow and develop.

Community Mothers – Our community mothers share their own homes and provide nutritious meals to our youth. As well as nutrition and support, additional safe houses for the youth are established within the communities.

Trainers – Our trainers train and produce new support personnel that are well equipped to go out into their communities and contribute in a productive and positive manner. Our trainers are constantly provided with updated and current data and research to share amongst our teams and ensure that all are well informed and prepared.
